Why We Built This Site
Michigan court records can be public without living in a single database. Eaton County’s Circuit, District, and Probate courts have separate MiCOURT selections and separate clerks or record offices. The county’s public search page directs readers to the right court, while a hearing date, a filed document, a certified copy, or a restricted-file question may require a different contact. We assembled those official paths so a search begins with the correct court rather than a guess.
The record behind a public result is still maintained by the court. MiCOURT describes online material as informational, and the responsible clerk controls corrections, public inspection, certified copies, and access to material that is not displayed online.
What You Will Find Here
The docket pages describe the county’s public court channels and the limits of each channel.
- Docket routes: the criminal court docket and civil court docket paths.
- Settings: the court schedule and ways to confirm a hearing.
- Case searches: the name and case-number controls in Docket Search.
- Original records: the court-held file and copy options in Court Case Records.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference resource, not an Eaton County or Michigan court office. We cannot access an unlisted file, alter a date, issue a certified document, correct a court entry, or give legal advice. Those actions belong to the court, the Eaton County Clerk / Circuit Court Clerk, the 56A District Court office, or the Probate Register that holds the record.
- We cannot obtain an official record for a reader.
- We cannot reschedule a hearing or change a court calendar entry.
- We cannot seal, amend, or remove a case record.
- We cannot tell a reader how a filing or ruling applies to a specific matter.
Only the court or clerk that maintains the Eaton County case can confirm its current status or issue an official copy.
Search Partners
Some content pages carry a sponsored public-record search widget. Its provider operates separately from Eaton County courts and government agencies. The widget is not a replacement for MiCOURT, a court clerk, or an official Michigan court record. A paid third-party result may create referral revenue, but it does not change the site’s private status or the need to verify a record with the originating court.
