Not a consumer reporting agency. Eaton County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Material on the site or a third-party tool linked from it may not be used for credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated purpose. An FCRA-compliant provider is required when a report is needed for such a purpose.
Privately Operated Reference Site
Eaton County Court Docket is a private reference site, not a court, clerk's office, or government agency. It does not maintain the official case index, schedule hearings, or control public access to a court file. The official custodians are the Eaton County Clerk acting as Circuit Court Clerk for Circuit records, the 56A District Court clerk's office for District records, and the Probate Register for Probate records.
Accuracy of Information
Court procedures, office contacts, hours, fees, and portal features may change without notice. Public interfaces also update at different times. Although we try to present useful and current information, we cannot guarantee that every item is complete, accurate, or current. Confirm the details with the responsible court or clerk before a visit, payment, or record request.
Dockets Change - Verify Before You Rely
A docket can change when a filing is entered, a hearing is continued, an order is issued, or a case is dismissed, sealed, amended, or otherwise updated. A past search result or calendar entry may not reflect the current setting. The notice of hearing and the court that holds the case control for an individual appearance.
Use a public docket entry as a starting point. The responsible clerk or court is the source that can confirm a current setting, case event, or record-access restriction.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. MiCOURT Case Search is a public informational layer and does not replace a court record. A public court-file request follows MCR 8.119; a certified copy must come from the clerk or court that maintains the case. For a Circuit, District, or Probate file, use the correct Eaton County record office.
Not Legal Advice
This site does not provide legal advice. General information about court dockets cannot determine how a charge, claim, deadline, order, or court rule applies to a particular person or case. A licensed Michigan attorney can provide legal advice for an individual matter.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some site pages contain search tools run by outside companies. We do not control their results, prices, data handling, or availability. A result may be incomplete, stale, or associated with the wrong case or person. The same FCRA limits apply to those tools.
Outbound Links
The site links to official clerk and court pages, statewide systems, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, charges, or privacy practices of any external site.
No Records on This Site
Eaton County Court Docket does not host dockets, case files, hearing calendars, orders, or court records. A reader seeking an actual record must use the public court-search path or request the material from the clerk or court that keeps it. Michigan's FOIA does not turn a judicial case-file request into an ordinary county request: MCL 15.232(h)(iv) excludes the judiciary and a county clerk acting as Circuit Court Clerk from the FOIA public-body definition. MCR 3.925 provides special protection for juvenile records, and MCR 6.007 governs public access to criminal case records within its rule, statute, and order limits.
